Little Buddy is an inspiration to me and I hope you will also be encouraged by reading about his diagnosis, surgery, and recovery. Hip dysplasia is a degenerative joint disease that affects many Labs and larger dogs. Careful, responsible breeding is the best (only) prevention.

Hello,
I was lucky enough to learn of you and Little Buddy through George. I've sent several people to this Blog -- those who have had dogs with similar problems and those contemplating several types of hip surgery for their pets.
Many, many thanks for your efforts on behalf of your special Boy and everyone who respects the animal-human bond.
